Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed on Monday visited Lady Reading Hospital to inquire after Additional SHO Bihar Ali, who was undergoing treatment after being injured while foiling a bank robbery.
During the visit, the CCPO met the doctors treating the injured officer and directed them to ensure the provision of the best possible medical facilities.
He also met the family members of Bihar Ali and assured them of full cooperation and government support for his treatment.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Saeed said that Bihar Ali showed bravery and courage despite sustaining gunshot injuries while foiling a serious bank robbery attempt on Warsak Road in the Pir Bala area.
He described the injured officer as a source of pride for the police department and said that all necessary steps were being taken to ensure his speedy recovery.
Police officials said the officer remained under treatment, while the department was closely monitoring his health and providing support to his family.
