ISLAMABAD: PTA has stopped telecom companies from raising cost of packages on monthly basis. PTA has abolished the permission to mobile companies for raising cost of packages after 30 days. Now advance permission from PTA will be compulsory before introducing new package or raising price of the existing package. The authorities said the telecom companies will not be allowed to raise cost of packages on monthly basis but hike in prices of package will be allowed on quarterly basis. In order to maintain balance in markets decision has been taken to conduct strict monitoring of telecom operators. Mobile tariff regulations 2025 have been implemented in this regard. ONLINE
