To raise awareness on Right to Public Services (RTS) Act and the jurisdiction of the RTS Commission District Monitoring Officer (RTS) Khyber, visited the District Press Club Khyber in Landi Kotal on Tuesday.
During her visit, DMO, Khyber Soraya Khan briefed journalists in detail about the key features of the RTS Act,
She emphasized its importance in ensuring timely delivery of public services and protecting citizens’ rights.
Soraya Khan stated that the primary objective of the RTS Act was to provide relief to citizens and ensure prompt service delivery in government departments.
“The Right to Public Services Commission Khyber is fully committed to facilitating citizens by ensuring access to government services within the stipulated time, along with an effective complaint redressal mechanism”, she added.
She encouraged people to make use of this system without fear or hesitation to resolve their legal and administrative issues.
The DMO also sought suggestions from media representatives on how to effectively use various communication channels to enhance public awareness.
She stated that an awareness seminar would be organized at the press club after Eid-ul-Fitr to further educate citizens about the law and its benefits.
The DMO appreciated the role of journalists and expressed hope that the media would continue to support efforts aimed at promoting public awareness and improving service delivery.
