In a successful intelligence-based operation in Hasan Khel, a sensitive area connected to Peshawar and Dara Adam Khel, security forces, and police achieved key objectives with reports of multiple militant casualties.
According to police on Monday, the joint operation was conducted by police and security personnel based on intelligence inputs. Several militants were reportedly killed and injured during the operation.
The operation was a targeted mission monitored through drone technology, focusing on suspected militant hideouts. It was supervised by CCPO Peshawar Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmad and SSP Operations Farhan Khan.
A coordinated strategy was implemented involving sniper units, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Anti-Terrorism Squad, Elite Force and other security agencies. Advanced technology, including drone surveillance, anti-drone systems and sniper weapons, was effectively utilized.
During the operation, militants opened fire on security personnel; however, all officers remained safe. Sources confirmed that significant targets linked to militant networks were neutralized, contributing to improved law and order in the region.
Additionally, repair work on damaged public infrastructure, particularly a major gas pipeline targeted during militant activities, was promptly completed, restoring essential services to the public.
Hasan Khel, due to its proximity to tribal regions, is considered a highly sensitive area. In the past, operations against militants have also been conducted here under former CCPO Peshawar, the late Sifat Ghayur.
