Federal Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Engr Amir Muqam has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of Maulana Muhammad Idrees.
In his condolence message, Muqam said Maulana Idrees was a distinguished Islamic scholar, eminent teacher, and great mentor who dedicated his entire life to serving Islam, teaching Hadith, and training the younger generation. “His scholarly and religious services will always be remembered, and the void left by his passing can never be filled,” he said.
Praying for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks, Muqam prayed Allah Almighty to grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, forgive his shortcomings, and give him a place in His mercy. He extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and students, saying he shared in their grief over the great tragedy.
Strongly condemning the incident, Muqam called on relevant authorities to launch an immediate and transparent inquiry, arrest those involved without delay, and bring them to justice. He also urged effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
“Ulema are a valuable asset of society, and an attack on them is an attack on the entire nation, which must be condemned at every level,” he said.
