Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Tuesday strongly condemned the deadly attack on prominent religious scholar, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Muhammad Idrees, in Charsadda, expressing profound sorrow and grief over his demise.
In a statement, the Speaker termed the incident as deeply tragic and irreparable, saying the loss of Maulana Idrees is a significant blow to the religious and political landscape of the country. He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and assured them of his solidarity during this difficult time.
Ayaz Sadiq paid tribute to the late scholar’s religious, academic and political contributions, describing him as a distinguished cleric and a visionary leader whose services will be remembered for years to come. He also prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the attack and urged for strength and patience for the grieving family.
The Speaker further prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and for eternal peace.
