LANDIKOTAL: A month-long training arranged by “Youth Soft Activity Program,” funded by the Government of Japan with the support of local government representatives, concluded successfully at the Landikotal tehsil compound on Wednesday. The training benefited a total of 65 young individuals. Under the program, 20 participants were trained in medical billing, another 20 in solar technology, while 25 women received hands-on training in tailoring. The total cost of the project was approximately Rs4.5 million. During the closing ceremony, certificates were distributed among the participants who successfully completed their training. In addition, they were provided with essential equipment including laptops, solar kits and sewing machines to enable them to apply their newly acquired skills in practical fields and generate income. The ceremony was attended by former tehsil chairman Shah Khalid Shinwari, TMO Landikotal Shahbaz, former local government representatives, JICA representatives Naseer Afridi, Malik Masil Khan Shinwari and other notable figures. Speakers highlighted the importance of such initiatives, stating that they play a key role in empowering youth and equipping them with skills for dignified employment.
