MULTAN: The World Thalassemia day was observed with great enthusiasm in Multan as the historic Ghanta Ghar Multan was illuminated with red lights during a special ceremony to raise awareness about thalassemia and express solidarity with affected children. A large number of citizens, social workers and members of the business community attended the event. Commissioner Aamir Kareem Khan participated as the chief guest and spent time with children suffering from thalassemia. Talking to the children, he appreciated their courage, determination and fighting spirit, saying they were a symbol of hope and bravery for society. He said that thalassemia was not just a disease but a lifelong struggle, adding that the smiles and resilience of these children conveyed a powerful message that no challenge remained difficult if society stood united in support of deserving patients.
