An exchange of fire took place between Cantonment police station personnel and a notorious gang allegedly involved in robbery and drug trafficking in Bannu district on Saturday. According to DPO Bannu, one suspect was arrested in injured condition, while crystal meth drugs and weapons were recovered. District police officer (DPO) Bannu, Yasir Afridi, received intelligence reports that five armed suspects were present near the Sokari Hasankhel graveyard area with the intention of committing theft and robbery. After immediate verification of the information, the DPO issued clear instructions to Cantt Police for prompt action. SHO Cantt Police Station, Tariq Mahmood, along with a police team, launched an immediate search operation in the area.
