Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Engr Waseem Nazir has said that Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos stands as a defining moment in Pakistan’s military history, adding that the nation’s engineers and scientists played a vital role in making this historic victory possible.
In an exclusive talk with APP, Engr Waseem Nazir said that on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, PEC proudly honours the courage, professionalism, and unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the nation’s sovereignty.
He credited the victory to the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the strategic command of Field Marshal Hafiz Syed Asim Munir, saying Pakistan demonstrated national unity, operational excellence, and an unshakable commitment to its defence during this historic operation.
The PEC Chairman extended special appreciation to Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, saying the valour of the Shaheens of the Air Force has earned admiration both nationally and internationally.
Engr. Waseem Nazir highlighted that the remarkable achievement also reflects the tireless contributions of Pakistani engineers and scientists. “Our defence capabilities, precision systems, cyber strength, and indigenous technologies are a testament to their dedication and patriotism,” he said.
“As engineers, we take immense pride in our role in strengthening national security, advancing technological innovation, and promoting self-reliance. Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos has reinforced the critical importance of research, innovation, and resilience in safeguarding our homeland,” he added.
The PEC Chairman paid rich tribute to the martyrs and saluted the ghazis whose bravery continues to elevate Pakistan’s honour. “Their sacrifices will inspire generations to come,” he said, praying that Allah continues to bless Pakistan with strength, unity, peace, and prosperity.
