The Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo commemorated the first Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq with great national spirit and solemnity to pay tribute to the courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces and people of Pakistan in defense of the nation’s sovereignty and dignity.
A special ceremony was held at the Embassy premises, attended by members of the Pakistani community, students, academics and friends of Pakistan in Japan.
Messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out during the event.
In his message, President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the valiant Armed Forces and the resilient people of Pakistan for their sacrifices and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national honor. He emphasized that Marka-e-Haq symbolizes unity, courage and the triumph of truth and justice.
In his message, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the spirit of patriotism and national cohesion demonstrated during Marka-e-Haq. The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan remains committed to peace, stability and regional cooperation while maintaining full preparedness to defend its sovereignty against any aggression.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador of Pakistan, Abdul Hameed, to Japan emphasized that Marka-e-Haq represents not only a defining moment in Pakistan’s history but is also a reflection of the nation’s collective resilience, preparedness and determination. He stated that the people of Pakistan stand united with their Armed Forces in the defense of the homeland and in the pursuit of peace with dignity.
The Ambassador further noted that Pakistan has always advocated dialogue, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence in the region. However, he reaffirmed that the nation has the capability and resolve to safeguard its national interests and territorial integrity at all costs.
Defense Attaché, Mr. Muhammad Amir Mohyuddin, made a presentation and briefed the community members about the operational successes of the Airforce during the Operation Bunyan Al Marsoos.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the prosperity, peace and progress of Pakistan, as well as for Shuhada due to Indian aggression last year and for the continued strength and success of its Armed Forces.
