Minister assures resolution of PHED workers’ issues, stresses transparency

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan met a delegation of the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Workers Welfare Association at his office in Peshawar on Monday.
The delegation, led by Patron-in-Chief Pir Gul Ali Shah Marwat, discussed departmental issues and employee concerns with the minister in detail. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said provision of clean drinking water remains among the top priorities of the provincial government, adding that all available resources are being utilised to make water supply schemes more effective and functional.
He clarified that preference in appointments of tube-well operators is given to local landowners, and no unrelated individual would be given priority in such postings. Fazal Shakoor Khan further said that transparency, merit, and the rule of law would be ensured in all departmental matters, and no negligence or irregularity would be tolerated.
He assured the delegation that legitimate concerns of employees would be addressed on a priority basis, and efforts would be made to improve the performance and efficiency of water supply schemes across the province.
