Vice President of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Sherry Rehman on Tuesday paid glowing tribute to a brave citizen, Liaquat, whose timely courage and sacrifice helped avert a major tragedy at the Jand and Khushal Garh Bridge.
In a statement, Sherry Rehman said that the martyrdom and bravery of Liaquat saved dozens of precious lives and reflected the spirit of responsibility and patriotism among ordinary citizens.
She said Liaquat set a remarkable example of duty and courage by acting responsibly in a critical situation, adding that his sacrifice symbolized the nation’s collective resolve against terrorism.
“Pakistan is proud of such fearless citizens. The people and security institutions are united in the fight against terrorism,” she remarked.
The PPP leader further said that anti-peace elements would never succeed in their nefarious designs, stressing that terrorism would be completely defeated through national unity and solidarity.
She also prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.
