The City Traffic Police Peshawar organized a traffic rules awareness seminar at Jamrud Khyber School, educating students on road safety measures and responsible driving practices. The session was led by SP City Riaz Khan Khalil along with the education team of City Traffic Police Peshawar. A large number of teachers, students, and staff attended the seminar.
During the event, SP City Khalil and his team briefed students on road safety, the importance of zebra crossings, seat belt and helmet use, and key driving rules and precautions. He told students that using seat belts and helmets while traveling can significantly reduce traffic accidents and prevent loss of life.
“City Traffic Police regularly visit different institutions to raise awareness among students about traffic laws, aiming to reduce accidents and ensure public safety,” Khalil said.
Chief Traffic Officer Dr. Zahidullah, in a press release issued from Traffic Headquarters Gulbahar, urged motorists to always wear seat belts, maintain lane discipline, and remain mindful of other vehicles. He stressed avoiding mobile phone use while driving.
“Traffic accidents can only be controlled through strict adherence to traffic laws. An organized traffic system reflects a civilized society, and professional training is key to handling any situation effectively,” Dr. Zahidullah stated.
He added that compliance with traffic rules is essential to curbing accidents, and that professional training enables better response to road emergencies.
