Peshawar police arrest former clinic employee over theft

Capital City Police Peshawar have arrested a former employee of a private clinic for allegedly stealing Rs550,000, officials said on Friday.
The arrest was made by Shah Qabool Police during a targeted operation led by SHO Muhammad Asif Khan, acting on directives from SP City Division Shahid Adnan and under the supervision of DSP City Circle Ahmad Rashid Khan.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Haris son of Liaqat and a resident of Sattar Shah Colony, Bhana Mari, had previously worked at the clinic. Investigators said he had prepared a duplicate key during his employment and used it to enter the premises at night after being dismissed from the job.
Police recovered the full stolen amount of Rs550,000 from the suspect’s possession following the operation. Officials added that the case was traced using modern scientific investigative methods.
The theft was reported by the complainant, Nadir son of Umar Khan, prompting police to register a case at Shah Qabool Police Station.
