A “Chief Minister Special Screening Camps Health Week” has been launched at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Chowk Sarwar Shaheed on Saturday, hospital sources said.
According to sources, the special screening camps have been formally started in line with a province-wide initiative across Punjab.
Under the program, screening camps have been made operational at THQ Hospital Chowk Sarwar Shaheed and adjacent health centers.
The initiative launched under the “Healthy Punjab” vision of Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif aims to provide free and quality healthcare facilities at citizens’ doorstep and ensure early diagnosis of diseases.
During the Health Week, citizens are being provided free medical screening and basic healthcare services, including tests for hepatitis, diabetes, tuberculosis, malaria and HIV along with maternal and child healthcare services.
District and tehsil administrations have directed authorities to ensure proper arrangements at the camps availability of medicines and full attendance of medical staff to facilitate maximum public benefit.
