BAHAWALPUR
Commissioner of the Bahawalpur Division, Irfan Kathia, visited the Rescue 1122 office and conducted a detailed review of preparedness measures for dealing with possible accidents and flood situations during the monsoon season.
The Commissioner received a briefing regarding rescue operations, emergency response mechanisms, timely evacuation of affected people, provision of medical assistance, and the establishment of relief camps.
He directed that all departments must keep their preparations fully updated to handle any emergency situation and further strengthen mutual coordination. He emphasized that timely and effective response in case of an emergency must be ensured at all costs.
He stated that immediate action is essential in the event of a possible flood situation and that the protection of human life and property is the administration’s top priority. He stressed that all available resources should be utilized to make rescue operations more effective.
He further instructed that the availability of machinery, rescue equipment, and personnel must be ensured at all times, while the public should be informed promptly so that losses can be minimized.
On this occasion, Rescue 1122 In-charge Baqir Hussain and other concerned officials were also present.
