LAHORE: PTI has issued clarification on death news of PTI senior leader Dr Yasmin Rashid who is convicted in May 9 cases and is in Kot Lakhpat jail. PTI central spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram wrote on social media website X “Dr Yasmin is, Alhamdulillah, alive and is in Kot Lakhpat Jail, sacrificing imprisonment and hardship for the sake of her leader Imran Khan’s ideology,”. All the rumors spread about Dr Yasmin Rashid are false and baseless. Sheikh Waqas Akram appealed to PTI workers and people they should not believe in any rumor with reference to Dr Yasmin Rashid because these all media reports are baseless. It is pertinent to mention this news was circulating on Social media sites that health condition of Dr Yasmin Rashid who is in Kot Lakhpat jail deteriorated all of a sudden and she was shifted to hospital where she breathed her last during treatment.
