PESHAWAR: In an encouraging development, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has appointed the first-ever female District Police Officer (DPO) for Nowshera district. According to CCPO office on Sunday, Ms. Sonia Shamroz has officially assumed charge as DPO Nowshera after being transferred from her previous position as AIG Establishment. Sonia Shamroz has earned international recognition for her professional achievements. She received an international fellowship in Criminology from the United Kingdom and has also been honored with the Asia’s Outstanding Female Officer Award. APP
