Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday directed that all development projects of national importance must be completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining high quality.
The prime minister, in a meeting with Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, who called on him here, said that the timely completion of development projects was among the government’s priorities to ensure public welfare, create employment opportunities, and achieve sustainable economic growth.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on ongoing development projects across the country and the progress made under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
The federal minister briefed the prime minister on current development schemes, their implementation status, and the future course of action.
Prime Minister Shehbaz instructed that all relevant ministries and departments must enhance mutual cooperation and coordination to accelerate the pace of project so that benefits reach the public at the earliest.
Various aspects of national development and future growth targets were also discussed during the meeting.
