As part of the ongoing anti-narcotics crackdown by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, the Excise Intelligence Bureau, in collaboration with Charsadda Excise Police Station, carried out a major operation and recovered 102 kilograms of hashish, while arresting two accused drug traffickers.
The operation was conducted in line with the Provincial Government’s Zero-Tolerance Policy against narcotics and the directives of Provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan, under which anti-drug operations are being intensified across the province.
According to details received from the Excise Department, officials intercepted and searched a suspicious vehicle during the operation, leading to the recovery of 102 kilograms of hashish. Two accused present at the scene were arrested and legal proceedings were initiated against them.
The recovered narcotics have been taken into official custody, while a case has been registered against the arrested accused at the Peshawar Excise Police Station and further investigation is underway.
The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing indiscriminate operations against drug traffickers throughout the province and taking every possible measure to eliminate the menace of narcotics and protect society, particularly the younger generation, from its devastating effects.
