Four-member motorcycle theft gang busted in Peshawar

Capital City Police Peshawar have arrested a four-member gang allegedly involved in motorcycle theft and recovered two stolen motorcycles during a targeted operation in the city.
According to police, the operation was conducted as part of an ongoing campaign against criminal elements under the directives of senior police officials.
Acting on the instructions of SP City Division Shahid Adnan and under the supervision of DSP City Circle Ahmed Rashid Khan, SHO Shah Qabool Police Station Khalid Khan, along with his team, carried out a successful raid that led to the arrest of the suspected motorcycle thieves.
The arrested suspects were identified as Aqib, a resident of Shah Alam; Rashid, a resident of Hangu; Irshad, and Syed Muhammad a resident of Wahid Garhi.
Police said the gang was involved in stealing motorcycles from various markets and localities across the city before selling the stolen vehicles at throwaway prices. The suspects were traced and apprehended through scientific investigation and evidence-based policing.
During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to their involvement in multiple motorcycle theft incidents. Police also recovered two stolen motorcycles from their possession.
