SCCI pays glowing tribute to fallen heroes on Police Martyrs Day

Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday paid glowing tribute to the brave officers and personnel of Pakistan Police who embraced martyrdom for the sake of peace and security of the homeland.
The SCCI said KP police has rendered unmatched sacrifices in war against terrorism and for the sake of peace-building, so they must be equipped with modern weapon and technology, along with offering highest remuneration package and incentive to combat with terrorism and extremism efficiently and continue to play in establishment of peace and stability in the province.
In a joint message in connection with the Police Martyrs Day, President of the chamber Junaid Altaf, Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem and Vice President Sabir Ahmad Bangash alongwith members of the entire SCCI’s executive committee stated that “Their exemplary courage, firm dedication and ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation will always inspire pride and command the deepest respect of every citizen of Pakistan.”
“This day reminds us of the courage, unwavering commitment and sacrifice of our valiant police officers who gave their lives for peace, law and justice in Pakistan,” the senior office bearers said.
SCCI President Junaid Altaf remarked, “Our police force remains at the front lines in the fight against crime, terrorism and violent extremism.”
“Displaying sound tactical skills during targeted operations, they have proven their professional excellence towards disruption of criminal and extremist networks,” he continued.
The SCCI leadership said “It is profoundly heartening to witness their unwavering commitment and invaluable sacrifices for protecting innocent lives, upholding the rule of law and ensuring domestic peace and security.”
“Every martyr is a shining star in our national history. Behind each sacrifice is a story of honour, duty and love for the nation,” he added.
President Junaid Altaf said they have proud on police officer like CCPO Peshawar Mian Saeed Ahmad, and it is highly crucial to equip the police with modern gadgets and technology under such a brave and talented police officer to combat with terrorism effectively and play role in peace-buidling in the province.
The SCCI chief said that they met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan and high officials at federal level, wherein they have demanded for the announcement special incentive package for KP police, and funding for equipping the force with modern tools and technology.
