Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mardan has officially announced the names of position holders of SSC (Matric) Annual Examination 2026.
In this regard, a grand function was organized in the auditorium of the board in which Provincial Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Khalid Khan, Deputy Commissioner Mardan Wasif Rehman and Director Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Faridullah Shah participated as special guests.
Heads of educational institutions, teachers, parents, students and people from different walks of life also participated in the ceremony. Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Board Professor Jahanzeb said that today is the day of victory of hard work, dedication and determination.
He said that the students who got the position have worked hard day and night to prove their skills and today they have got the best reward for their efforts.
He said that Education Board Mardan has exerted all its energies to ensure transparency, merit and fairness in the examination system as a result of which every student got the right according to his hard work.
The Chairman Board expressed special happiness over the fact that the students belonging to the government educational institutions of remote areas of Nowshera and Swabi have achieved prominent positions and proved that success depends only on hard work, determination and dedication and not on resources.
He congratulated the successful students and their parents and teachers and said that these young people will play an important role in the development of the country and the nation in the future.
He also thanked the special guests who took time out of their busy schedules to participate in the ceremony and encouraged the successful students. Chief Guest Provincial Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Khalid Khan said in his address that education is the basis of development, prosperity and national stability.
He said that we have to enable the new generation through quality education to stand alongside the youth of developed countries. Later, Deputy Commissioner Mardan Wasifur Rehman and Director Higher Education Dr. Faridullah Shah also spoke and congratulated the successful students for their great success and expressed good wishes for their bright future.
Girls Cadet College Mardan
Maheen Ayub secured first position overall by securing 1171 marks. Samira Imran of Girls Cadet College Mardan secured second position by securing 1166 marks. Zazaman secured third position by securing 1165 marks. She also belongs to Girls Cadet College Mardan.
In Arts Group. Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Akbarpura Nowshera Ayesha Sajjad secured first position by securing 1091 marks. Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Dak Ismail Khel Hajra Qasim secured second position by securing 1072 marks. Maimuna secured third position by securing 1069 marks. She belongs to Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Jahangira, Swabi.
According to the controller examinations, 56,788 candidates appeared in the science group of class 10, out of which 48,453 candidates were declared successful. Thus the success rate was 85.32%.
In the Arts group, 20,754 candidates took the exam, out of which 13,596 were declared successful, while the pass percentage was 65.50 percent.
A total of 77,544 candidates appeared in Class X, out of which 62,049 were declared successful.
Thus, the overall result was 80.02 percent. According to the controller examinations, 61,293 candidates participated in the science group of class IX, out of which 60,911 were declared successful and the success ratio was 99.38 percent.
In arts group, 21,172 candidates participated in the exam, of which 20,858 were declared successful while the success ratio was 98.52 percent overall in class IX. 82,465 candidates took the exam, out of which 81,769 were declared successful and the overall success rate was 99.16%.
At the end of the ceremony, the chief guests distributed shields, certificates and cash prizes among the position holders. On this occasion, while appreciating their exceptional academic achievements, they were encouraged to move forward with more hard work, high performance and spirit of national service.
