Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter has announced a sit-in outside the Governor House today (Sunday), to demand a reduction in petroleum prices.
According to JI KP Central Ameer Abdul Wasi, party workers will take part in the protest on the call of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman. He said the sit-in would be held outside the Governor House on Sunday and that the protest would continue until petroleum prices were reduced.
Abdul Wasi urged Jamaat-e-Islami workers to participate in the sit-in with zeal, passion and determination, and to ensure the success of the protest.
The announcement of the sit-in by Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa comes at a time when petroleum prices continue to be a source of concern for the public and various sectors.
According to Jamaat-e-Islami, the basic demand of the sit-in outside the Governor House was a cut in petroleum product prices.
