The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi presented a theatre production featuring three unique and thought-provoking plays written by renowned playwright Bee Gul. Directed by acclaimed theatre director Khalid Ahmed, the production comprised “Badal Gaye Ho,” “Prologue,” and “15 Minute Aur.”
The theatre opened with “Badal Gaye Ho,” which highlighted various aspects of unspoken deprivations in love, marriage and life through three strangers waiting at a bus stop.
The 15-minute play featured outstanding performances by Kaif Ghaznavi, Usama Ranjha and Hassan Raza, who impressed the audience with their acting. The second segment, “Prologue,” was a deeply personal, honest and emotionally charged presentation inspired by renowned director Khalid Ahmed’s real-life experiences.
The 10-minute play featured performances by Khalid Ahmed and Hassan Raza. The final segment, “15 Minute Aur,” was a psychological drama adapted from a story by Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez. The play revolves around a young woman who seeks to prove her innocence; however, as the story unfolds, the truth gradually emerges as a horrifying reality.
The 55-minute play featured remarkable performances by Kaif Ghaznavi and Khalid Ahmed, which captivated the audience. The three plays were presented as separate segments, exploring social attitudes, human emotions, relationships and the complexities of life from different perspectives.
The production received an enthusiastic response from the audience for its distinctive themes and impressive performances by the artists.
