Islamabad: Pakistani YouTuber Ducky Bhai has criticised parents who blame YouTubers for negatively influencing their children, saying that parents themselves have a responsibility to monitor what their children watch online. Ducky Bhai, one of Pakistan’s well-known YouTubers, has gained popularity through streaming, roasting and family vlogs. He recently faced a major legal controversy involving alleged betting apps and spent around three months in custody before being granted bail. According to reports, an FIA officer involved in the case had previously criticised YouTubers for allegedly having a negative influence on children. Responding to such criticism, Ducky Bhai called the argument unreasonable and questioned why parents were not taking greater responsibility for monitoring their children’s online activities. He said he believes his own videos are clean and stressed that parents should keep an eye on the content their children consume. He recalled that his father used to encourage him to study by promising him rewards such as a PlayStation 2 and also monitored his computer activity. Ducky Bhai argued that parents should focus on supervising and guiding their children instead of placing all the blame on YouTubers when children are influenced by online content. ONLINE
