Lucky Cement distributed income-generating equipment and digital devices to deserving families in Pezu, Lakki Marwat, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
According to a statement, 20 loader rickshaws, 14 stitching machines and 29 laptops were handed over to beneficiaries during a ceremony held in Pezu.
The company said the loader rickshaws are intended to help recipients set up small transport businesses, while the stitching machines will enable women to earn a livelihood from home. The laptops, it added, are aimed at supporting students and youth in accessing digital learning resources and developing basic IT skills.
Lucky Cement noted that the initiative focuses on creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, promoting women’s economic empowerment, and expanding access to education in communities surrounding its operations.
The cement maker said it would continue to invest in social and economic development projects in the areas where it operates.
