Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan on Monday condemned an IED blast targeting a police vehicle in Bahadur Khel area of Karak that killed a police driver and injured six other personnel.
In a statement, the minister expressed grief over the death of the police official and paid tribute to his sacrifice. He described the attack as a cowardly and condemnable act, saying such incidents would not demoralise the government or the police.
Mr Jan said the KP police had rendered immense sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and that the sacrifices of its personnel would not go in vain.
He said the provincial government stood with the bereaved family and would provide them with all possible support during their hour of grief.
The minister prayed for the departed soul and for strength and patience for the bereaved family. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the six police personnel injured in the blast.
