Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Monday paid rich tribute to the brave personnel of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on the occasion of Air Force Day, acknowledging their courage, determination and professional excellence in defending the country.
In his message, the minister said the day provided an opportunity to pay homage to the brave “Shaheens” of the PAF who had written remarkable chapters in the history of national defence through their courage, resolve and professional skills.
He said that during the 1965 war, the PAF’s valiant pilots and personnel had foiled the enemy’s designs and made the nation proud through their outstanding performance.
“The bravery and professional expertise of the PAF Shaheens constitute a glorious chapter in our defence history,” he said.
Dr. Tariq said the PAF’s outstanding performance during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos had once again demonstrated its formidable defence capabilities.
He said the operation had proved that the PAF Shaheens possessed the capability and determination to confront every challenge and effectively defend the country.
The minister said the PAF remained fully prepared and vigilant round the clock to safeguard Pakistan’s airspace.
He paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Air Force for their supreme sacrifices and lauded the services of its Ghazis.
“The present-day Shaheens of the Pakistan Air Force are a source of pride for the entire nation,” he said, adding that the nation was proud of their courage, determination and professional competence.
