ISLAMABAD: Top seed Aqeel Khan, second Seed Muhammad Abid Yasir Khan, Ahmed Ch, Shahzad Khan, Heera Ashiq, Muzammil Murtaza and Muzammil Murtaza moved into the quarterfinals of Men’s Singles by beating their respective opponents on Thursday in the Second Benazir Bhutto (Shaheed) International Tennis Tournament at Islamabad Tennis Complex, G-5, Islamabad.
The best encounter of the day was played between Yasir Khan and junior player Aman Attiqe. In the first set the score went up to 5-5all as both players held their own serves, Yasir won the first set at 7-5 by breaking 11th game of Aman Attique.
Long rallies were witnessed during the first set. In the second set Yasir Khan built up the winning lead 5-2 by breaking 5th game of Aman. Yasir Khan got 6 match points at this stage but could not capitalize due to some unforced error.
Aman Attique came back into the match and level the score 6-6all. The match was decided in the tie break in which Yasir Khan won the tie break at 7-4. The match lasted two hrs twenty minutes.
In the ladies singles Sara Mansoor, Ushna Suhail, and Sara Mahboob moved in to the Semi Final by beating their respective opponents quite easily. Forth quarter final between Mehak Khokhar and Mahin Aftab will be played tomorrow.

Ahmed Ch beat Asadullah 6-2, 6-0; Muzammil Murtaza beat Abda Haider 6-2 6-2; Mudassar Murtaza beat Shaheen Mehmood 6-4 6-3.
Men‘s Doubles Quarter finals:
Aqeel Khan & Heera Ashiq beat Ijaz Khan & Abbas Khan 6-2 6-2;
Muhammad Abid & Usman Rafiq beat Shahid Afridi & Shaheen Mehmood 6-4 6-2; Muzamil Murtaza & Mudassar Murtaza beat Asad M. Khan & Fahad M.Khan 6-2 6-3; Shahzad Khan & Yasir Khan beat Faizan Khurram & Ahmed Ch 6-2 6-0.
