18 Swat youths complete training

PESHAWAR: Around 18 youth on Sunday completed training at the military-run rehabilitation school in Swat district.
The security forces had set up the Sabaun School to impart technical training to the youth who were involved in petty crimes and anti-social activities to enable them to earn decent livelihood and make them responsible citizens.
General Officer Commanding (GoC) Malakand division, Major General Asif Ghafoor was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Islam was the religion of peace and tranquility and had nothing to do with terrorism.
He hoped that the youth who had completed training would become useful members of the society and play their role in the nation building.
The general officer commanding urged the parents to groom children properly and keep a check on them so that no one could mislead and use them for vested interest.
Later, the chief guest distributed commending certificates among the youth for the best performance.
