PESHAWAR
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police Tuesday released report about its performance stating hat 2019 proclaimed offenders were arrested besides taking into custody 10109 illegal Afghan immigrants during the year 2016.
In accordance with the report released by KP Police, 1026 search operations were conducted across the province during which 2019 proclaimed offenders were arrested. 786 smugglers and 10109 illegal Afghan immigrants were apprehended in KP wide operations.
The police also arrested 52 belonging to various sects over provocative speeches and hatred literature.
The report further said that the recovered arms, ammunition included 7 bombs, 111 grenades, 52 detonators, 590 Kalakovs, 72 Kalashnikovs, 320 Rifles, 6231 pistols, 925 Short Machine Guns (SMGs), two Launching Machine Guns (LMGs), 190 kilogram explosives, 16 rockets and thousands of bullets.
According to the report, the drugs recovered across the province included, 4510 kilogram hashish, 173 kilogram heroin, 157 kilogram opium, liquor and other drugs.
