PM tasks Maulana Fazl to pacify PPP

PM says PML-N pursuing the policy of taking along all in the journey to development of country.

Jamiat Ulema Islam (F) chief Fazalur Rehman called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here at the PM House on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the PM Office, both the leaders discussed current political situation besides other matters of national interest.
They also discussed the federal government’s development schemes in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has assigned task to JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman to pacify PPP.
Maulana Fazl ur Rehman called on PM here Tuesday in PM House and the two leaders exchanged views on prevailing political situation of the country and matters of national importance.
The development projects initiated by federal government in KP and Balochistan also figured in the meeting. Four demands from PPP were also discussed at length.
Sources said that PM tasked Maulana Fazl ur Rehman with persuading PPP for not staging protest demonstrations and pacifying them.
Maulana Fazl ur Rehman will make efforts to narrow down the differences between government and PPP through dialogue with Asif Ali Zardari and other leaders.
PM Nawaz Sharif said PML-N was democratic and elected party of people. It is pursuing the policy of taking along all in the journey to development of the country. The way for real development can be paved by taking along opposition, PM added.
He underlined PML-N was serious in taking along opposition but opposition should also shun intransigent attitude and non serous politics and join hands with government in dealing with the problems facing the country.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar also called on PM in PM house and both of them exchanged views on the matters related to internal and national security situation.
Nisar briefed PM on internal security situation. PM was told that internal security and border system was being improved. Bilateral efforts are underway for an effective border system on Pak-Afghan borders.
Nisar also informed PM about his recent visit to Torkham and Karachi operation. He told PM that wings of national defence related institutions are being set up for improvement border system and Rs 70 billion are being spent on this count. PM was also told that the local people will be recruited in new wings of defence institutions.
