PESHAWAR: Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) in collaboration with District Administration Nowshehra jointly organized a three day grand festival titled \”Family Gala\” at Jinnah Park, Nowshehra began from Sunday to Sunday.
The staging well-known artists from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the cultural show, the family gala also features forty cultural stalls of different local handicrafts, kids play area, shopping street, cooking competitions and food court.
This family-friendly event inaugurated by Minister for Excise & Taxation Mian Jamshed Uddin Kaka Khel. The Managing Director Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and Deputy Commissioner Nowshehra Khawaja Muhammad Sikander Zeeshan were also present on the occasion.
Apart from musical performances, cultural show will include traditional music rabab mangay and folk music performances.
The main streamline singers include Zar Sanga, Zeek Afridi, Bakhtiyar Khattak, Meena Gul, Fayaz Kheshgi and others.
To promote and highlight the culture of the province, cultural stalls of handicrafts will be set up at the festival.
which includes Chitrali Patti Cap, Waist coat, Swati Shawls, Charsadda Chappal, Lacquer Art, Stone Carving, hand-made jewelry and other stalls of local handicrafts.
For the amusement of the children, a specific area has established as a \’Kids Town\’ which hosts rides, face painting, tag of war, comedy town and much more. Besides, cooking competition for females is also arranged.
