Over 1.3m patient treated
PESHAWAR: Khyber Teaching Hospital Issue the annual performance report of 2016 as around 1,301,628 patients were provided treatment in the hospital.
The report further said that in Accident & Emergency Department received 605,887, Patients received in various OPDs were 695,741, and Patients Admitted in various units was 89,894.
The report said Major Operations carried out in different OTs 33,555, various investigations carried out in different Diagnostic Sections, 762,074, Total Blood Issued to various patients 40,874 Bags. Patient visited Physiotherapy Department was 23,726. Different Procedures carried out in different sections (EEG, ECG, Echo, ETT, Audiology, Bronchoscopy (Chest), Lithotripsy, Eye, Dental, Endoscopy & Skin Procedure, blood bank screening.) 119,861
The report further said Dialysis carried out, 19,081, 17 Dialysis Machines are working 24/7 and a total of 19,081 Dialysis were carried out which is one of the highest figure in the province.Total Ultrasound carried out in Radiology Department, 87,313, Total X-Rays ,174,599
CT Scan carried out in Radiology Departments, 15,689, MRI Scan carried out in Radiology Department, 7,601.
The report said that Khyber Teaching Hospital (MTI KTH), Peshawar is a diversified hospital catering millions of patients annually not from Peshawar but all over the province, FATA IDPs and patients from Afghanistan.
There are about 35 different units and 20 Major Operation Theaters in this hospital, working round the clock providing Best Health Services to the patients.
