A friendly cricket match was held between two teams of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat at Subhanabad Ground, Tehkal Payan Peshawar on Saturday, 18th February, 2023. After a one-sided contest, Team Green, led by Saifullah Khan, won the match comprehensively by 7 wickets beating the Team Blue led by Malik Hasan Zeb.
Amjad Ali top scored for Team Blue scoring 30 runs while Khwaja Sikandar and Ali Sadiq scored 29 and 24 runs respectively taking their team to 144 in the allotted 20 overs. Syed Ibrar, Masood Rehman and Umar Farooq got two wickets each for team Green.
In response, team Green chased the target of 145 runs easily in 14.1 overs for the loss of only three wickets. Sartaj Khan scored a quick-fire 48 runs off just 30 balls while Shahzeb Khan scored a blistering inning of 27 runs off just 13 balls which included four boundaries and a huge six. Ihtesham Khan also scored a valuable inning of 31 runs and remained not out. Adil Jan from Team Blue got two wickets. Sartaj Khan was adjudged the Man of the Match for his inning of 48 runs and two stumpings.
