ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has remarked abduction of the girls is ineptness and failure of police. The court dismissed bail plea of the accused Umair arrested in kidnapping case of a girl Sobia Batool who had gone missing from Sargodha. The bail plea was rejected being the same withdrawn by the accused. The court ordered the respective police for recovering the abducted girl Sobia Batool . The court also directed IG Police Punjab to take steps for recovering the abducted girls from all over the province. The case came up for hearing before a 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Maqbool Baqir Monday. DPO Sargodha Dr Rizwan told the court during the hearing of the case that 150 kidnapped girls have been recovered from different areas of Sargodha division in the wake of operation conducted under the order of the court. 21 girls have been recovered from brothels. More steps are being taken to recover abducted girls under order of the court. Some girls who have been recovered have shown Nikah namas. The missing girl Sobia is being traced out. Justice Maqbool Baqir remarked 151 abducted girls have been recovered from such a small area. Abduction of girls is inefficiency and failure of police. The SHOs of the police stations in whose jurisdiction the girls were abducted should have been issued notices. Online
