Accountability Court (AC) has extended interim bail of Usman Buzdar former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab in accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income.
The bail plea of Usman Buzdar in assets case came up for hearing before Judge Sheikh Sajjad Ahmad of accountability court Lahore.
Usman Buzdar appeared in the court along with his counsel and got completed his attendance.
The judge AC inquired has this bail to be run in homeopathic way.
The counsel for Usman Buzdar said we have prepared reply to questionnaire. It will be filed in NAB office today.
Judge Sheikh Sajjad directed Usman Buzdar that Buzdar Sahb consider the court as court. I am very stern over this matter. The decision will be given on merit. Justice will be provided to you. If you donot come up to merit then bail will not be granted.
The court remarked if Usman Buzdar has used his office in transparent manner then it is ok and if any illegal or wrong thing has been done therein then NAB investigation officer should write it in report. Investigation officer Sahb you have to deal him as per law.
Usman Buzdar said he remained Chief minister Punjab from August 20, 2018 to April 16, 2022 and he did no illegal job during this period.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till May 03.
