Acquittal of drug dealer Anmol Pinky in 3 cases has been challenged in Sindh High Court (SHC). As per media report, appeal has been filed in SHC against the three decisions of the subordinate court in SHC under the directives of Prosecutor General Sindh.
The SHC has been requested to nullify the decisions of the subordinate court. The appeal said that all the three decisions by Additional District and Sessions Judge South are against the set principles. The learned judge had indicted the accused persons on August 13 in the three cases.
The accused pleaded not guilty. Later the court issued notice to the witnesses of the cases. On the same day the subordinate court had issued notice to prosecutor.
The appeal further said the subordinate court announced decision on the acquittal pleas in the evening on August 13 in the absence of accused and prosecutor. At least 24 hours time should have been given to prosecutor following court’s notice.
It was said in the appeal all the three decisions of subordinate court are illegal and have been given in haste.
SHC has been requested to declare null and void the three decisions of Additional District and Sessions Judge South.
