Afghanistan’s government system is a victim of corruption, since the Taliban came to power in August 2021, Afghanistan has been at the top of human rights violations, women have been banned from working in human rights organizations and the United Nations.
According to the United Nations report, the violations of women’s rights in Afghanistan have gradually increased to an alarming level. It has also been banned from working in organizations and the United Nations.
Other fundamental rights such as freedom of expression, assembly, physical integrity, access to justice and minority rights were also systematically destroyed.
In Afghanistan, civil society, human rights activists, journalists and even peaceful protestors are being illegally arrested.
According to the United Nations report, in November 2022, the Taliban government implemented mass executions and other inhumane punishments.
Between November 2022 and April 2023, 74 men, 58 women and 2 boys were publicly flogged.
The Taliban government’s claim of adherence to Islamic laws and the positive opinion of the people about them is completely false, more than 85 percent of the population in Afghanistan is living at the lowest level of poverty and the Taliban has made it impossible for aid to reach them.
In 2023, a budget of just $744 billion was provided for the welfare of the people of Afghanistan, compared to $1.49 billion in 2022.
Due to the Taliban’s ban on lady doctors and aid workers, the health situation across the country is also very alarming.
The cause of the crisis in Afghanistan is poor governance, drought, climate change, earthquakes and the suspension of direct development aid. The Taliban government is also involved in supporting many terrorist organizations around the world. The peace situation is also getting worse day by day.
It was believed that stability will come in the region after the Afghan Taliban took over, but their support to the terrorists has worsened the situation.
