Afghanistan consul meets KP governor

Consul General of Afghanistan in Peshawar Hafiz Mohibullah called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali here on Monday.
Hafiz Mohibullah congratulated Governor KP on assumption of the constitutional position and expressed hope for better Pak-Afghan bilateral relations and trade.
In the meeting, the Afghan Consul General informed the governor about bilateral trade, issues of mutual interest.
Governor KP Haji Gulam Ali assured the Afghan Consul General that all possible steps would be taken to promote bilateral relations, commercial activities and in some cases, they will discuss at the federal level to eliminate obstacles and problems.
In the meeting, the security situation of the region, the trade through Torkham border and Angor Adda were also discussed.
A detailed discussion was also held regarding promotion and more facilities for the people of both the countries.
Haji Ghulam Ali said that Afghanistan and Pakistan are Islamic brotherly neighboring countries with common values and traditions.
He said that he himself belongs to the business community and is very well aware of the importance of trade between the countries, adding that both countries need to extend their cooperation for a better future.
“Peace and stability in the region is indispensable for the promotion of trade, which requires joint measures,” Gulam Ali maintained.
On this occasion, Afghan Consul General Hafiz Muhibullah appreciated the broad thinking and vision of the governor and in solving the problems faced by the business community of both countries.
