LAHORE: Polio virus “strain” from Afghanistan reached in Pakistan. Polio virus (strain) was recognized in environmental samples collected from out fall road of Lahore. When National Health Authority (NHA) taken further tests for genetic relation in which it was revealed that the polio virus is from Afghanistan province Nangarhar. On the other hand Punjab polio virus authority decided to take population’s mapping on the presence of virus. Further investigations related to the presence of polio virus are underway. Polio campaign was run in 28 UCs of Lahore. Online
