AGEGA holds protest demo in Jamrud

KHYBER: A protest demonstration of government employees against suspension of allowance and facilities to them was held in front of Jamrud press club on Tuesday. The protest rally was organized under the auspices of All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA) that was attended by government servants of various departments including teachers of the districts Khyber. Addressing on the occasion district chief of All Tribal Teachers Association Sarwar Khan Afridi, General Secretary Atiq ur Rehman Afridi, Shah Jehan and others said that facilities being enjoyed by government employees of other provinces should also be granted to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa . They added that abolition of medical fund of KP public servants as per policy of International Monetary Fund (IMF) is step mother behavior towards them as the policy has not been implemented in other provinces. Government employees of federal and other three provinces have avail 15% adhoc relief and double convince allowance besides increase in rent allowance, however the employees of KP have been deprived of all these services which is regretful, they opined. The protestors demanded the Pakistan Tehreeke Insaf (PTI)led KP government to make permanent employees of adhoc ones and stop exploitation of public servants or they will have no other option but to initiate a protest agitation in front of the PTI chairman residency in Bani gala, Islamabad.
