He said that the drastic decline is alarming, especially considering cotton is a crucial crop for Pakistan’s economy and export industry.
CM-KP aide on Finance expressed these views while commenting on proposed constitutional amendments by the federal government .
“This is the vision of Maryam Nawaz Punjab government when she breached the trust of wheat support price and gave unprecedented losses to farmers” he added. Mr. Muzammil Aslam said that the broken farmer community has ditched the sowing of Cotton while it is a huge loss to GDP and potential exports in particular.
KP Advisor on Finance said that Interestingly, Pakistan Stock Exchange is performing well after the failure of the Constitutional Amendment. This shows the market is absolutely against the proposed amendments.
