Seeds and grains were given away to the flood hit 38 farmers of Sheen Pokh, Loy-Shelman,the remote and bordering area of subdivision Landi Kotal aimed to assist them to cultivate in their fields.
In this connection a gathering was organized at Ghakhi check post last day that was attended by assistant commissioner (AC),Landi Kotal Irshad Mohmand,forces and agriculture department representative, elders and local growers.
Addressing on the occasion AC Irshad Mohmand expressed distress over the loss of local growers of Sheen Pokh village and said like other parts of the country flood had suffered local farmers and the government would not leave them alone in the time of need.
The government intended to extend every possible help to the flood effectees and therefore the agriculture department initiated the scheme to distribute seeds and grains among the cultivators of Sheen Pohk village.
Earlier, the farmers appraised the officials of their grievances.
At last he gave away seeds and grains to the 38 deserving growers of the area.
