Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to collectively overcome the challenge posed by floods. Chairing a meeting of National Flood Response and Coordination Center in Islamabad on Wednesday, he directed the relevant authorities to take steps on emergency basis to save the people from water borne diseases in the flood affected areas. He said the process of damage assessment surveys should be accelerated for the rehabilitation of flood victims.
