LAHORE: The apron of an airport is a specialized working environment where lot of Aviation activities take place simultaneously. Apron is governed by rules specially designed to prevent accidents and minimize the risks of potential hazards. Airside rules minimize risks to workforce, machinery, equipment, and infrastructure present there. Particularly, driving in airside areas presents diverse challenges requiring all concerned to be well aware of the Apron dynamics and best practices. Apron Vehicle operations are also critical to Airside safety and demand a great deal of attention. Airport Management with a view to promote Airside and Apron safety encourages its entire stakeholders to adhere to Apron safety rules and procedures.This becomes even more important especially in the wake of the upcoming foggy season and beyond. In this connection, an awareness campaign “Drive Safe and Clean” was held at AIIAP Lahore on the Airside to promote a safe and secure Apron environment and protection of valuable assets including aircraft, vehicles, and ground installations.
