The Aga Khan Maternal and Child Care Centre (AKMCCC), Hyderabad, successfully held a Health Screening and Assessment Medical Camp in observance of World Health Day, bringing quality, affordable healthcare directly to the communities of Hyderabad.
The camp provided a comprehensive range of medical services at minimal cost across multiple specialties, including Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Family Medicine, and Eye Care. Attendees benefited from general and wellness check-ups, health advisory and counselling sessions, and basic disease screening. Complementing these services, the camp also offered free blood sugar, HbA1c, and cholesterol testing, key diagnostics in the early detection of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
“World Health Day is a reminder that healthcare is a right, not a privilege. This camp is our way of putting that belief into practice, bringing trusted medical care to the doorsteps of families who need it most,” said Syed Muhammad Sohail, Chief Operating Officer for Outreach Services and Off-Campus Hospitals at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH).
The initiative underscores AKMCCC Hyderabad’s enduring commitment to delivering accessible, affordable, and high-quality care to local populations, eliminating the need for patients to travel to high-end or urban localitiesto receive essential medical attention.
