ISLAMABAD: Former PTI leader and politician Aleem Khan on Sunday rebutted the claims of joining any party, or forming any new political party. Aleem Khan, who was disqualified last year, said in a statement that he was focused currently on welfare work. “Right now I am only focused on welfare work,” the former PTI leader said in a statement. “I am not a part of any political party, neither do I have any intention of joining any,” Aleem asserted, adding that the reports circulating on media were “baseless”. He was reacting to media reports that claimed some PTI dissidents, led by Jahangir Tareen and himself, were weighing options to either join the PPP or form a new party. Earlier on Saturday, media reported that approximately 40 PTI turncoats in South Punjab lead by another former PTI Stalwart Jahangir Khan Tareen and Aleem Khan himself were looking for a new political shelter as they had two options: either to launch a new political party or to join PPP or PML-N.
